Four projects from the track of public chains brought brilliant presentations to the meeting. The four projects are Kucoin Community Chain (KCC)KlaytnProtocol LabsPolygonBelow are brief notes of the meeting and introductions about these projects:

Kucoin Community Chain (KCC)

Ben Lee, Head of Business Development from Asia of KCC, briefly introduces KCC to the audience. He also mentioned recent updates, values, and supporting policies like $50m for the accelerator program, which is also this year’s most important mission, and now KCC is in phase 1. KCC also hosted the hackathon to support ecological projects grown. About 120 projects apply to KCC, with 80 already deployed on the chain.

ABOUT KCC- KCC is a decentralized EVM-compatible public chain with high performance built by communities of KuCoin and KCS. KCC launched its main net last year in June. In early 2022, KCC announced the $50 Million Ecosystem Accelerator Program and hosted the Unicorn Contest hackathon to support high-quality projects growing in the KCC ecosystem. KuCoin also announced that it would use part of the 150 Million funds led by Jump Crypto to develop KCC. Its purpose is to solve the problems such as low performance and high cost of the public chains and to provide community users with a faster, more convenient and low-cost experience.

Klaytn

Yoshi Shin, Game Partnership Lead of Klaytn, mainly discusses Klaytn in four parts, introduction, view of web 3.0 games, performance and roadmap. As Korea’s top blockchain project, Klaytn relies on the public chain built by Kakao, a South Korean social giant, and cooperates with many influential companies around the world. For Klaytn, where the third cheapest maintenance among all existing mannet so far, a typical transaction only contains currently costs US$0.0025. The TPS has amounted to 4000 as well as the 1-second throughput. On the business side, they decided to onboard more big global companies as governance council because of their reliable and good user base.

ABOUT Klaytn– In 2019, Kakao—one of South Korea’s leading software enterprises—created the Klaytn blockchain with the intention of staying true to its mission of making a better world through people and technology.

Klaytn is an open-source Layer 1 blockchain focused on the metaverse, gamefi, and the creator economy. Officially launched in June 2019, it is the dominant blockchain platform in South Korea and is now undergoing global business expansion from its international base in Singapore. Klaytn’s transaction latency is improved by a maximum of 20 times compared to other Layer 1 chains. A block is generated and finalized every second in Klaytn. Klaytn has become the most influential blockchain platform in Korea by providing faster and more secure transactions with our immediate finality with a one-second block generation time. Klaytn is a “builder-friendly” blockchain and is working under the slogan of ‘The Metaverse Blockchain for All’ to build competitive Dapp services and become a global platform.

Protocol Labs

Piyush Maheshwari represents the Ecosystem Growth team from Protocol Labs, delivering us an introduction to IPFS, filecoin, and FVM in various aspects. The magic of IPFS Content IDs is that they’re the property of the data itself, making them storage-layer agnostics allowing for full flexibility and modularity. Besides, he also mentioned the usage cases for metaverse and Games, NFTs, consumer storage, finance and Bio.

ABOUT Protocol Labs – Protocol Labs is an open-source research, development, and deployment laboratory. Our projects include IPFS, Filecoin,libp2p, and many more. We aim to make human existence orders of magnitude better through technology.

Polygon

Cora, Polygon Head of China, introduced Polygon vision, position, projects, zkEVM, polygon supernets, etc., accelerators, events, roadmap and Polygon mission carbon neutral accomplished. She also highlights Polygon’s success, like over 19 000 dAPPs on Polygon, $2 million invested funds, 90 million monthly transactions, 153k and growing contract creators. Polygon has big plans for the next six months focussing on three key areas -Product, Events, and Accelerators -to onboard a million developers to Polygon’s ecosystem. Also, Polygon is pledging $20 million to fund outstanding community initiatives and projects developing technology to fight global warming.

ABOUT Polygon– Polygon is the leading Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development platform. Its growing suite of products offers developers easy access to all significant scaling and infrastructure solutions: L2 solutions (ZK Rollups and Optimistic Rollups), sidechains, hybrid solutions, stand-alone and enterprise chains, data availability solutions, and more. Polygon’s scaling solutions have seen widespread adoption with 3000+ applications hosted, around 600M total transactions processed, around 60M unique user addresses, and $5B+ in assets secured.
